Raised in Portland, Oregon, Michelle Martin joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age seventeen. Later,
Michelle served a Church mission in Peoria, Illinois. Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Weber State University,
and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Utah. As a licensed dental hygienist, she has participated in humanitarian
expeditions to the Marshall Islands and Vietnam. Currently, Michelle works as a cancer information specialist at the Huntsman
Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah. She just completed her first Triathlon in September 2009. Learning to Trust in the Lord is her first book.
