From Bullied to Beautiful
Elementary and Junior High provide fertile breeding grounds for teasing and bullying. A student can either fall beneath or rise above the ridicule. Join Patricia as she shares her own childhood story to illustrate what works and what doesn’t. Through role plays, power point presentations, contests, music and workable, memorable ideas, your students will learn how to work together and find greater happiness along the way.
Mental Health Awareness
Due to recent shootings this is an opportune time to speak to students about mental health issues. NAMI is recommending that we step up our efforts in educating students so they will recognize warning signs and red flags that are signals that something is going on with their peers or family members. Often a cry for help is seen first by friends and family but they don’t know how to handle it or who to call and so the general reaction is to withdraw from the person completely. This only exacerbates an already volatile problem. We will offer your students skill sets that will allow them to help themselves and their peers and possibly avoid another shooting tragedy.
